When passport office issued an verification order on me and my friend, police called us and asked for 200 Rs each we bargained and get it to 100 Rs and police person didn't bothered to check our I-card and other things he said ok you can go. Next there is another police person for passport verification (people used to call him from cid) he asked for 300 Rs and we settled it to 200 Rs each. Problem is if we don't give them money the process won't go forward thats how the system became now.
