I had to pay a bribe for not having pollution certificate with me. The police personnel first mentioned that you do not have this, you do not have that, you have photocopies and so on .... so I said give me a receit.. then he said the total fine would be 1600. I did not have that amount with me neither I had time to get a challan and pay it in court. So I had to pay the amount to let me go.
I suggest, government should make it easier for people to make the challan payable at convenient locations i.e. some collection booths spread at various place in a city. So a responsible person can go a pay the amount. *******
