Yes, I was scared and now ashamed and helpless

I along with my friend was being dropped by two of my other friends (guys) at around 11:45 PM from barbeque nation after dinner. While we were being dropped outside the PG, we started chatting about tomorrow's plan for just 5 minutes. Suddenly we saw two policemen coming and they started shouting. We replied we came from dinner and going back to PG. He told do your parents and I told yes they know (The way he was shouting was just untolerable). As i don't belong to bangalore , I thought for a moment, there might be some law that you can't go out after 10 or so for safety reasons. I called my mother and the policemen strted telling in foul langauage to my mother and told he would summon a notice to all of us and have to go to magistrate. I got scared as I had a flight to catch the very next day to Adelaide where I study. After a while . we were allowed to go inside but threatened to take my guy friends to police. One of my friend even told them that he is willing to go to the station as he hadn't broken nay law but the other one got scared. Finally their intentions were revelaed and they let them go with Rs 400. I failed to note the names of the two policemen as well. I was so shocked, felt terrible and helpless. I am totally ashamed of the Police department. .We talk and participate about various movements against corruptions but incidents like put you in such a bad situation, The polce system is corrupt to the core . Kindly suggest what can de done regarding this case.
