Visited the HP gas agency on Outer ring road, JP Nagar many a times but nothing worked as i did not had either ration card not electricity connection in my name. then came a day when i saw queue at the gas agency office. went and checked and the agency staffs told me if i need connection should take it today else just keep waiting. I went outside thought for 10-15 mins the queue was getting longer and longer, called up few family and friends who helped me do the calculation as at the rate of a cylinder/30-35 days, i will still break even the bribe cost in 8-9 months compared to private cylinders. I was under pressure and by this time queue had come till the road. When i again asked the counter to give me a form they started shouting at me saying that i keep thinking connections will be all sold out. At that point, i had a choice but also socially forced to do what atleast 50 others were doing. I was sad and happy to pay Rs 6500, received my cylinders but it still hurts i paid 4000 more for receipt of Rs 2500.
