The success of democracy is to a great extent dependent on the efficiency of the Judicial Department. What if the judicial department is caught up in corrupt?

As a respondent on our website commented, “Judiciary is one of the most important pillars of India. But the virus of corruption has spoiled the root of India's Judicial Department. Where should common man go for justice?”

We asked our readers, “Have you bribed any officer from the Judicial Department to get your work done?” 55 percent of the people who took the poll admitted that they had to bribe the government officers from the Judicial Department to get their work done.

Every week we get reports from people who describe their experiences in which they are forced by the government officers to pay money.

A person from Mumbai reported on our website stating that he had to pay Rs. 10,000 to a government employee of the high court to get his pending work done.

This is another report posted by a civilian of Kanpur in which he paid Rs. 2.5 lakhs as bribe to a judge to get a bail. He was arrested after his ex-father-in-law filed an FIR against him. His family members got him out of the jail after 41 days by paying the demanded bribe.

Another person from New Delhi, who was falsely implicated in a case, had to pay Rs. 12 Lakhs to a judge though he had all the evidences to prove his innocence.

A writer raised a question on our website, “Corruption in the Judiciary, who will take action against them?”
