Dont bow to corruption
The story takes back you to 1996 or 1997. On a fine monsoon Sunday me and my friend travelled from Andheri to Mumbai CST. We purchased ticket via main lane but boarded on a harbour train. When we alight in CST a Checker caught us and took to his room. My fried need to catch his train to kerala. The person, after calculating the ticket charges and fine, demanded a sum of Rs.600/- - @300/- each towards fine. Immediately agreed to the fine and asked for the receipt. But he denied for the receipt. I told him that if no receipt no fine. I know i made a mistake and ready to pay. But you must give the receipt. He then told us that he got some doubt regarding this, need to consult his supervisor and asked us to wait. After short while he came back and informed us the fine is reduced to Rs.300/- but no receipt. Again I demanded I need a receipt even if I pay a rupee towards this offence. Otherwise I wont pay a single penny. I even asked him to write his name and code number on the receipt so that I can take this to an appropriate platform. I think this dart stike correctly. Seems he is bit worried again run to his supervisor (we assumed so) and return back and allowed us to go without paying any fine or bribe. As i was enjoying the fight I also asked him to escort us from the railway platform to the end otherwise if somebody caught us again, i will took your name He has no choice but to accompany us till we crossed the danger zone. My friend (who is staying in Panvel since long) has no words.. he was mad on his laugh.
Fight for your right.....
