I ended up paying Rs.420 (rs. 300 as 'management' charges and Rs.120 to the guy for putting the number on my bike). I purchased a Honda bike in October, for which I paid fees for permanent registration to the broker (arranged by the showroom) who arranged all the papers and asked to come up with a copy each of my DL, permanent address, bike Insurance, which I had. Only problem was that the permanent address is not of Andhra Pradesh (which I don't think should be a problem for bike registration). The broker asked me to pay 300 extra. I asked him if I would get a receipt of this, which he declined. Then I asked as to what is the legal procedure for this, where he told me to chill and with Rs.300, he will 'manage' everything.
