At that time (2002) I had recently joined a MNC and the company was sending many of the employees abroad for training and I dint wanted to miss that chance and I applied for a passport
After filling form and everything my verification was done, however the passport dint came for many months, then I checked the status online and I realized that verification was pending, then I inquired in Commissioner office and they told me that verification has not received form local police station
And when I asked the constable at ********** that why he hasn't forwarded my report, he said that because I dint paid him anything
My question was why should I pay him anything, as I'm a Indian citizen and all my documents are clear, then he said its the way it is and you have to pay
And after I paid him 100rs he forwarded my reports and I got my passport
