I had to catch an international flight to London and being student, Jet airways used to give 69 kgs of baggage. But I was said, they don't give any such offers even if I had the email and copy of the vouchers. I paid INR 12000 to the jet airways official because he said, that its for the excess baggage and doesn't matter how many suitcases I carry. Its the total price, I need to pay for 20 kgs which was extra according to him. And he said, that I will also slip in few more bags if you don't want to carry. You just need to pay INR 1000 to me and INR 1000 to the person who will help you in carrying them to the flight and every security gates will be cleared. I paid everything in cash and because of these people, my flight nearly missed even though I was 3 hours early in the airport. And all such nuisance crime took so much of time that I had less than half and hour for boarding. This matter ran for around a year with Jet airways officials. They called me 6 months after the incident and said that higher authorities in Airport saw the CCTV footage and said, its compulsory to pay for excess baggage BUT they never told anything about the airport official taking bribe and they never believed me when I told everything to them about the vouchers and student baggage allowance. Now, I have stopped travelling via Jet Airways and especially through Mumbai. And these people are such thieves, that they torn my friend's passport because she took photos of one person taking bribe. And they never allowed the mobile with her when she reached the security. We heard about the call on their handset explaining our description and telling to confiscate her mobile phone.
