Paid a bribe for passport verification to the verifying police officer

He was asking for unnecessary documents despite showing him all the relevant ones. It was only later that I later understood the reason. He wanted to make it look like he has done me a favour and was expecting a 'compensation' in the form of bribe, which I paid just to ensure that he would not jeopardise my application!
