I had to go to police station in Kadri for passport verification. The person who has to send verification report to inspector, asks me he wants "prasada". He also tells me - "now a days no one follows values of **********". I felt he was making mockery out of our national values. But i was helpless. Then he takes me outside the station and asks for 100 rupees. I feel that this person might create problem in my getting the passport. So i give him 100 rupees. Then he tells me not tell about this to inspector. Then a ********** the inspector, a gentleman. But i dont say word to him about the bribe because i was scared about the ********** policemen sitting outside his cabin. After getting sign from him on my form, i leave. I received passport in month without any problem. The words of ********** policeman who asked for bribe are still fresh in my mind even after a few years passed. I still feel bad about what he said.
