Rampant corruption of RTO at the check gates and on the way of Chattisgarh
Dear Sir,
I am a transporter and the owner of vehicles (Trailers OR 14 X 5359 AND OR 14 X 8059) .My vehicles are regularly plying to Raigarh via kanaktura border and presently plying to NMDC,Jagdalpur via Chattisgarh checkpost (Dhankudi) near Jagdalpur. We are being harassed at both checkgates despite of fulfilling all the norms, they are demanding Rs.2000/- per vehicle and unless this demand is met they are seizing our files and this amounts to arm-twisting the transporters. Right now, my vehicles have crossed, Dankhudi border after fullfilling all the norms like paying for (Monthly case, Fine for Odd dimension material ) and an entry fees of Rs. 1200/ is given to RTO for which we dont get any receipts and now on top of that, after crossing the border our vehicles are detained again by the Jagdalpur RTO (Mr.Minz) who came in a TATA SUMO vehicle no. CG 02 9900 and forcibly took away our vehicle files and papers and is now demanding Rs.2000 per vehicle per trip .
Now, Sir we have elected our respected PM of India Mr.Narendra Modi with a lot of hope and he came to the power with a tall promise of 'Acche Din' and a corruption free India and promised for a transparent government. We are approaching the PMO, Mr.Narendra Modi, Transport Minister- Mr.Nitin Gadkari and Chattisgarh Chief Minister Mr.Raman Singh, Mr Navneet Patil(Anti Corruption Bureau,Raipur) and forwarding the copy to you as well with an expectation of prompt action which should act as a deterrent.
