Traffic police asked for 1000 rupees even though I was having all the documents in my Bike

I was on the way from home to office. Suddenly the traffic police people started stopping the vehicles.
I was carrying all the documents that are necessary. I have got my bike registered on last saturday. Still I did not receive the permanent RC for my bike. I have my T/R number on my bike. Traffic police wanted the number to be in bold and in big size so that he can see it from 1 km distance :P. The number was written by Showroom people with a marker 3 weeks back. It was clear and I even asked a passing by person to read. He could even able to read it from 10 metres. Traffic police wanted me to pay 1000 rupees as the permanent number was not written and T/R number is not clear from long distance. I argued with him for about 20 minutes. Finally he told me to give 100 rupees and leave other wise he wants the bike to be towed to nearest police station. So I did not want to take risk. I paid the **********(Traffic police) 100 and left the place.
