I am not sure what kind of office issues marriage certificates. We went there together, the whole families. Her father, mother, 2 brothers, a hoard of relations, my mom, my father's older brother, his wife, my sister, my 2 brothers, the ********** who got us married, the pictures of the marriage, the photographer, the video grapher. We needed the certificate for our US visa stamping purpose to show we were married. . The officer realized that we are from US and demanded to be paid or wait for the normal process which he said, might take upto 3-4 months. We looked around the boards to see if it showed any official timeline to deliver such things. None. I walked out of that office in anger. My F.I.L paid the money and got the certificate. It happened about 10 years ago but I am still so ********** off that a sneaky **********got away with that.
