I had applied for a new ration card at **********. I was given acknowledgement for the same. When the new cards were issued to the ********** residents I did not find my card. Infact I helped the civil supplies department in arranging the new cards and managing the crowd. I was informed that the card was msiing in Elcot. The acknowledgemt was entered by the civil supplies department as Elcot missing. I went to the civil supplies department for almost 1 year but in vain. I again applied for a new card paid 1000/- to the RI and moved here and there for another year but that did not fetch any response. I then emailed to the consumer complaint department of civil supplies, Chennai threatening to put an RTI.For my surprise I received a call from that dept on the second day and the ration card reached my doors on the 4th day.This is the situation in *******
