Corruption in Thane Collectorate !
I had cancelled a property registration in June 2010 and applied for refund. I was made to run between the Joint District Registrar's office, DIG office Treasury for a year now stating that concerned official is on leave(sometimes for two months) or asking for documents like SBI challan of receipt of funds paid by Thane ********** Sahakari Bank(where I paid the stampduty)to SBI ! etc. I still havent got the refund. I have given all documents they asked for but a couple of treasury officials are returning the documents without any reason...all just because I refuse to pay them bribe ! Do advice if this ********** will make any difference in my plight ! I am an active participant in promoting anti corruption in whatever forums I can.
