This is not about municipal services.
We took our father, a known heart patient and old patient of NH to Narayana Hridayalaya, HSR Layout. Opposite to HSR Club Bangalore after he complained of chest pain.
He collapsed with in 5 mintues after complaining chest pain. The hospital declared that he was brought dead after 15 minutes and told us that they tried to resuscitate him. They called ambulance dressed up our father body and helped me to place the body in ambulance.
They gave brought dead certificate and asked me to sign on a form to allow me to take the body which I obliged. Latter I came to know that we need cause of death certificate in form 4 (a) and approached the hospital and to my anger and surprise they told us that I took the body against their advice and they are not responsible for giving certificate. I made a mistake of believing them and signing the form without reading. They are using that form as a tool to black mail us. Is it legal or ethical getting sign from the kin of the diseased exploiting the situation they are in? They are claimed that they can't access the record of other branches of NH.Is it legal to threten showing the form I signed?
