Bribe for Berth

I just returned from overseas. For going home to celebrate new years, there's no berths available online or at reservation counter. So got a general ticket for Rs 150 and boarded a sleeper coach. The TTE, though there were berths available, didn't give one until midnight 1am and that too for 400bucks. So I travelled at cost of 550, where normal reservation was ~300 and tatkal ~400.
