Bribe for a favorable / smooth service tax audit order

Small firms / companies which are liable to pay service tax are selected randomly for Audit by the Service Tax Department once in 3 years. And this time it was our turn. The Audit personals from government department came went thru all our service tax related data and legally raised service tax demand of Rs 13,000 (approx.) which we paid but in the end when they finished the audit, the Officer in a low tone demanded money for finishing the service tax audit smoothly and settled for a bribe of Rs 10,000/-.
