I went to Varthur Sub Registrar and Marriage Registration Office in Bangalore on 6th May 2017 to get my marriage certificate. All the process was smooth and fast and the person was telling us how to fill, where to sign etc with a lot of attention. But only at the end, the same person called us outside the office and asked to pay bribe of Rs.1400. We had to bargain and we paid Rs.1000 to get the certificate. The name of the officer is Santhosh.
