We reported a prima-facie fraud case to the police and requested for an investigation and FIR at Dwarka, Sec 6, Police station.
However, our request was not entertained earlier. Later, after much delay a complaint was registered. After further delay of few months, a sub-inspector was assigned on the matter. He upfront asked for 10,000 bucks to get the balls rolling in the case. After helplessly watching inaction for another month, we paid Rs. 10,000 to him. However, a week later he stopped responding to our inquiries on the progress of the investigation. Later, we got to know that the sub-inspector was reassigned to another police activity cell. He digested the 10k, changed his number and never met us again. Now, the new sub-inspector assigned to the case demands similar amount. We are helpless and are thinking of approaching court.
Sad, but very true, the system just does not work at all. Not to forget that Delhi Police is offensive, abusive, careless and irresponsible in all dealings, unless it involves a heavyweight.
