Bribe paid for Passport renewal

I was applied for passport renewal in May 2010, My police verification was done in June first week, but passport office didn't issue till August last. In mean time I have to visit US on B1 visa for office work. I tried to contact PRO and spent two full days to get my passport but went in vain. I came to know if I want passport in 5 day then I have to pay 10000 bugs for it. I paid that money and my passport reached to me in 3 days :-). However I didn't want to pay bribe. I took 2 days leave from office to get passport but with 10000 it reached me in 3 days. :-)
