I had to travel from Surat to mumbai urgently, but could not find available ticket on India railway website. My cousin in surat who is a regular commuter of the railways advised me to board the train without ticket and the ticket checker will sort it out. I did the same. The checker asked me rs1000.. no receipt nothing..
