Builders forced me to pay a bribe to register my flat

The builder with whom I had booked my apartment is a Bangalore based listed company. They told me I needed to pay Rs 15000 as a bribe to the sub-registrar to register my apartment and that there was no other option. The apartment was in a complex of 800, so you can imagine the loot that the official made - Rs 1.2 crores ! When trying to get the khata done later, the same builder took Rs 5000 from each apartment, but failed to get the khata done even after 3 years !
