While I was a passenger in a rented small truck going to Limbdi in Gujarat, highway police stopped the vehicle near village Panshina and harassed the driver to get some money. The drive bribed him 100 rupee note and he was let go.
Similar incident happened while I was travelling from Rameshvaram to Madurai in a rented mini bus. Tamilnadu police stopped the driver and harassed him and was let go after he bribed.
