Custom officer asked for $30, otherwise i had to open my luggage for micro checking

• Paid INR 1,200

Custom officer asked for $30, otherwise i had to open my luggage for micro checking.
To avoid any inconvinience i paid the amount they asked.
Strange points i observed:-

1. Money was demanded in $ Dollars.
2. At this level they were demanding money as if it is their right.
