HYDERABAD CUSTOMS.. U SUCK

• Customs, Excise and Service Tax
• Customs Check and Clearance
• Paid INR 5,000

SO these guys in Hyderabad customs, posted at counter number 1 and 2 at around 5 am on tuesday April 5th managed to force me into an act that I have been avoiding getting into for a while. Only in India, these @33holes wont wear their name tags to avoid getting reported.. but I jope the date and time of duty can help pin point the corrupt.

They were completely unfair in their assesment of the situation, didnt want to go the official route of filing the right amount of customs duty, were more eager to settle on the side for 9000 Rs after bloating the customs bill inaccurately. The customs form clearly says that people of indian origin are allowed duty free allowance of 25000, these idiots insisted its is 8000. 2nd they said since you didnt take export clearance while going out for you laptopm (mind it its work laptop), they will have to officially charge duty on laptop also. I had an old ipad with me and bought a new version from US and they were **********bent on proclaiming that these are not allowed to be brought in and somehoe bloated the customs bill to 45000 Rs and wanted to settle for 9000 in cash...

paid 5000 and got out of there.. looking at state of affairs in this country, that was the best route i could think off. I feel ashamed of myself that I live in a country where there is no one to approach to get help.. when we can have a intellectual turned lame duck prime minister, nothing good can be expected out in this country for now.. God help us...
