I was called for a police verification after I had applied for a passport. Police called me on my mobile phone n asked me to go to the police station, he verified all my certificates n found my initials KV was missing in my photo identity card (voter's ID) n he asked me to pay Rs 2000 for that, I told him I cant pay n then he told me i wont passport and I will have go behind the officials n may be to the court explaining all these. He even told me he will have to charge a case against me submitting fake application for passport n i told him I dont have Rs2000 he asked me how much I have and I had only Rs700 n he took all that and asked me to give him the rest the next day. For next 4 days he called me continuously but finally I told him I dont want passport. I received my passport last week after more than four months. I dont know that policeman's name but I have his number, it is ******* . I am sure people can take fake passport if he verifies by bribing him, so to save our country, something should be done to stop him from that. I felt I am helpless alone but I will join you for any action you take against this. Thank you.
