Paid bribe in New Zealand
My wife needed a urgent cesarian section in Auckland Hospital, New Zealand and was already in labour for more than 24 hours. The midwife and doctors said that the hospital has a policy of doing cesarian section, only if the baby is in stress (that means about to die).
I then told them that, I am ready to pay any amount, but want to do c-section urgently. The doctor said, he can do it privately in the public hospital, but will charge Rs45000.00($1500 NZD). He did not give me any receipt for that. C-section was done and all went well.
