The power transformer was burnt in my field in Murkatti village, 22 Kms from Dharwad. for which 5 farmers suffered as they could not draw water from borewells for their fields in the peak summer. The same was informed to power supply office. The office told that it will take 3-4 months for our turn. The line man demanded Rs 7000 to replace the transformer immediately. THe line man was clear in the deal. Out of 7000, Rs 3000 Will go to the KEB engineer, 1000 to lineman and rest to others in the department. The money was paid and in two days the transformer was changed. As we were 5 farmers we shared 1500 Rs each.
