Needed to get a death certificate after my mother passed away. I had to go to the taluk office near the hospital where she had passed away. The office was permanently closed. There was a shop across the street where we went to ask for information about the office. the shopkeeper had all the forms i nhis shop. He gave us the forms to fill out and collected the "service fee" and our cell number. he was very polite and helpful and called us when the certificate was ready. While the service was efficient, it left a bad aftertaste considering the systemic bribery that was in place
