Professional Tax Registration
I am the Administrative Manager of a software company. Recently we were asked to regsiter with the Commercial Taxes Department for payment of Professional Tax. After we had submitted the relevant papers, the person who submitted the papers to the Department said that the certificate would be delivered in person by someone from the department and they were expecting some money. We have conveyed to them that our company policy is not pay bribes for any work in any department.
