How to get a Khatha certificate

Khatha refers to an account. In the property parlance, Khatha refers to an account of a person who has property in a city. It is therefore an assessment of property owners within BBMP jurisdiction.

There are two purposes to obtain a Khatha certificate:

  • For registration of a new property
  • For transfer of any property

Khatha Extract:

Khatha Extract involves getting details from an assessment register. The extract is required to get a trade license or to buy a particular property. It has the details of a concerned property such as the name, size, use(commercial/residential), annual value when the property was previously assessed.
