Grievance cell gets complaints about graft in Tihar jail

New Delhi, Feb 27 (IANS) The grievance redressal cell started by the Arvind Kejriwal government has received several complaints of corruption inside the Tihar jail which were forwarded to the prison authorities, Director General Prisons Vimlaa Mehra said Thursday.

"We have received several complaints about corruption inside the jail, which were reported to the grievance redressal cell by the families of the inmates," Vimlaa Mehra told IANS.

According to the officials, till now 25 such complaints have been forwarded to them by the grievance cell.

Mehra said the complaints are being looked at by jail officials.

"A few complaints were found to be fake and inquiry is being conducted on other complaints," Mehra said.
