Real Madrid's Odriozola to miss UEFA Super Cup with injury
Madrid, Aug 13 (IANS) Real Madrid's Spanish right back Alvaro Odriozola is to miss the UEFA Super Cup clash against Atlético Madrid with a right leg abductor injury, the Champions League reigning champion announced on Monday.
Although the La Liga club did not reveal for how long 22-year-old Odriozola would be sidelined, the recovery from this kind of injury could take between 1-2 weeks, reports Efe.
"After the tests carried out by the Real Madrid Sanitas Medical Services on our player Alvaro Odriozola, he has been diagnosed with a grade one injury in the abductor of the right leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed," the club said in a statement on its website.
The rest of the team, meanwhile, trained hours before travelling to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, the venue for Wednesday's clash.
