Bhubaneswar, Nov 30 (IANS) Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday asked secretaries to think out of box, saying his government was committed to stand by every decision taken in the interest of people.

"Think out of box and take bold and transparent decisions that will have an impact in the state and on our people. My government and I are committed to stand by every such decision taken in the interest of the people," he told the secretaries here.

He asked the officials to use technology to the maximum to reach out to people and at the same time always have the human touch in administration.

"I would like that with your efficient and sincere hard work, you should be able to achieve the commitments we have made to people."

As Odisha is facing a drought, Patnaik said drought relief package to be implemented on a war footing.

"Irrigation will continue to be a top most priority as this will be the lifeline for farmers. We have to think out of the box and proactively follow up all our initiatives in this regard."
