10 Cr Attempted Extortion in Punjab
It has happened again to our company. We have factories and offices around the country. Two years ago it was in UP, this year it is in Punjab (which in unexpected). We have some land on a long term 100 yr lease from government where we run a production unit. Someone in the government threatened to cancel the lease and force us to vacate. The move is illegal but we were told basically (translated into English)....
"You can pay the 10 cr now, and continue your production, or you can go to court against the government for the next twenty years and lose all that production time. $@#@#, keep suing the government, doesn't matter to me or my pocket, anyways I would have moved on after that, I don't give a #@$@"
We have refused to pay. Now I wonder what will happen to our company, and my job.
