The fixed amount for processing a Marriage Certificate is 180rs, i did all the formalities in tact and while collecting the certificate, when asked the person asked for 550rs and when i asked him for a receipt he said he can give it for 180rs and when i raised my voice in asking where will the remaining amount go, he quietly asked me to only pay 180rs and take the certificate.
The application was processed in Chamrajpet Sub Register office which comes under the Chickpet constituency in Bangalore, Karnataka.
