Assembled used pc from Australia
I had to packup from Australia and come down to India. At the airport we had SARS screening at that time. After a long time in the queue and my turn was finished, I was asked to explain the CPU packed. I told them it is ok for me to unwrap and show the assembled CPU. ( i brought only CPU and left the monitor in Australia ). The CPU was packed in the original packing and had the label of the price of CPU. The customs insisted that I pay for the CPU or bribe them Rs.500. I persisted I do not have to pay as it is an used CPU for 2 years and that I have been told , I do not have to pay customs for the CPU that i had been using for 2 years. The customs started arguing that even for used PC , I need to pay. I was there for more than 5 hours literally in tears for their provoking words of harassment. By then, my cousin who was worried of my non-arrival had asked for special permission to know about my whereabouts. He paid Rs.6000 on my behalf and we were let to go. Till today , I feel I will become somebody to target them , given a chance in my life.. either in court or through media or by any means to make them feel for their behaviour..
