Bribe for Assistant Professor position in Bharathiyar university, Coimbatore
Recently 120 postings for Asst Professor, lecturer, Associate professor were opened in the Bharathiyar university. My Friend/ room mate applied for one of the positions. But he was shocked to notice a bribe of Rs15LAKHS to Rs30Lakhs was expected directly from the Vice Chancellor himself for the position to be okayed. A qualified person needs to pay Rs 15 Lakhs and a non qualified or comparatively less qualified individual was expected to pay Rs30Lakhs. The Reason the middle man gave was that the VC himself paid Rs6Crore for VC position in Bharathiuyar university. My Friend is a qualified PhD with 3 degrees to his name. I am Just worried of the common man who has not completed even 1 degree and making his day to day life with this BRIBE oriented environment.
