Dint pay even a rupee to the Sub-Registrar for getting property registered

I went to the sub-registrar for registering a property. They started the processing of my papers. At almost the end, there was a guy in one of the tables who asked me to give bribe for the sub registrar. I objected, but the guy seemed to harass me. I directly barged into the Sub-Registrar's cabin, and told him directly that I have been asked bribe by the officials here and I amd not game to it. The registrar dint have any other option other than processing my documents and getting me out of the office.

Please dont give bribe. Just object it but without getting into a scuffle. Registrar will not have any other option if you say, I will not pay bribe.
