Fine for PUC ?
I was stopped for a rotten check up near a western suburb station and was asked to show my paper at 12:45 at night i showed all the papers but my puc was expired one month back. He pointed that out and asked to settle it there or go to the office and talk to the senior. He told me fine for puc was 1000 Rs. I went and talked to the senior. He was busy typing some document the person next to him asked for the paper and checked all the paper. the senior asked him if all the paper are clear. he said yes except the puc. He was surprised to know that i was not the first owner of the bike as there was only my name on the card. I informed him that if he used the card he will get the record of the previous owner. He told me that he had to ********** his minimum case record for the month so he is going to make a case.
He tool all my details and printed out on case paper. then he started calling in his colloquies to add their name as witness. they were very curious and asked what they writhing their name for and when they came to know about puc their expression were like (what the **********is this). After all that some one was asked to take my case not the one who caught me. I was sent to police station with the different cop on my bike. While driving he told me if i was to give 1000 RS he will not take it but try to settle things and talk on my behalf to the senior to let me go. After reaching the police station one cop approached us and asked if his name can be included in the case. After learning that it is a puc case he walked away.
In the police station i sat for around 30 minutes one of the cop asked why was i here i said i did not had the puc , he told me it is the big offense as there is heavy penalty for it. When my paper were transferred to a cop he wrote down my details on some register and gave a paper with my case number stamped and signed and gave a name and number on the paper. I was to contact that person in Cort in next two days. He also gave me my drivers license and asked me to be in Cort with in next two days or they will sent a summon at my place for not obeying the law.
next day i got puc for my bike and talk to many traffic constable and asked them about my case every one said the fine can go till 2000 RS and it is not fixed it depends on the Cort. They were not ready to talk about the fine as i asked more details. Every one said that they can not say what the fine can be. I researched on net and there was no slab for fine on puc under the pollution offense under the traffic law. I went back and asked more traffic constable one took time and asked for the slip. He read the slip and told me that he can not figure out with which law have that charged me with. He told me that being a traffic constable he can not fine me for puc, people get charged for not carring the paper and the fine is 100 Rs as in many case under the traffic law most of the fine is of 100 Rs. on learning that i have the license with me he got confused and said he does not understand what case it is.
next day i went to the Cort at 8 am there were many people lined up every one had to contact the person of their area and wait for the **********. I called the person whose name was given to me by the cops on the paper. He said he is arriving and wait for him. When i met him he told me to wait. Unfortunately my paper were not arrived so the concern person took an NC form and took all my details form me again i told him i was fine for puc and gave him the location where i was fine i told him i did not know as under which section have they made a Case on me, he said its ok and submitted the paper in the Cort. I was asked to line up after the ********** arrived. I was pulled in as my number arrived only my face in the door and i was asked to tell my name the ********** went through the paper and said some thing which i was not able to hear. I was pulled and asked to get out of the room. Then i told the person i was not able to hear the fine amount he told me to wait and after some time he showed me the paper that i was fined 300 Rs for puc. i was surprised as every one got 200 Rs fine i got 300 just for puc. I paid the fine and got my slip. On receiving my slip the person asked for money as he has helped me out. I was confused as i came here as i did not wanted to pay the bribe and then i doubted if he was working for the Cort or not, i did not know what his position in working of the Cort was. I did not gave him any money took the slip and went out.
