Free left turn when there is no sign or signal
In Bangalore BTM area I took a left turn during signal (red) because there is no sign board (no left turn) or left turn signal in red. But traffic constable stopped me saying you have violated the rules and took a turn in no left turn area and demand Rs.200. I did not accept his allegations later after few minutes of discussion he asked my license, registration and address. When I showed that to him he said pay Rs.200 here or I will send you to the inspector and he will charge more. I said I wont pay. Then he took me to the inspector and I tried to explain him the same. After few minutes of unwarranted wait he said pay Rs.100 and you can go. He noted all my license and car registration information in his blackberry and issued a receipt for Rs.100.
Even though I did not violate any traffic rule I ended up paying Rs.100 for traffic police becuase I refused to pay any money as bribe.
