How can you get verified without paying a penny!
I have applied for a passport in oct'13, the verification process my the local police started in dec'13, I was called and asked to some questions. Then the officer said, I have not submitted my house Rent NOC. I went back And bought it after a week. Now I was asked about my voter card ( I regrate that I still don't have voter card, since when I went to make one they asked me for passport.) , I told him that its not made, i can produce him my parents voter card, office told me to get them. I have then produced it after a month. Then again he asked for some things and other, but didnot moved my file ahead. In may this year, he finally forwarded to BORDER Branch to verification. That God,the officer i meet there was honest. He verified all my documents and cleared it. File came back to officer one again to review and forward. Yesterday it came to hights, when he told finally told me, how can I expect to verify and clear the file without paying him a penny. It was more shocked to me that he told this in front of his senior officials.I got up and came up. Still confused what to do next. Should I go back and pay the bribe, or what step should I take to fight back. Because if they reject my application for passport, I have to go back the complete pain all over again. Please suggest me.
