Lazy indians should stop using corruption as a rescue
I was about to leave to US and I wanted to get an intl driving permit from RTO office in chennai. I asked an agent and he told me I would have to pay Rs 4000, for which I dont have to do anything and get the license work done. Instead I choose to stand in the queque, beg, quarrel with ppl in RTO office and after a week I got my work done right infront of the agent who asked me the bribe. I was indeed happy with what I had done and was evident from the look of the RTO official who finally stamped my papers. Probably he wouldnt have seen many knock on his doors directly and get work done the hard way. I would suggest that govt must disseminate the information regarding procedures that needs to be done to get our work done seamlessly. If so, we can plan to that well ahead and not get into the dirty habit of paying a bribe just to get our work done effortlessly.
