License without agents and without bribe
RTO is probably the first governement office that a teenager will step into on his own. It was my engineering days. 2 of us, me and my friend decided that we are going to get our license done without paying any bribe, no matter how many times we need to go to RTO. During the Learner's license test both of us were failed, despite answering most of the questions correctly. We took the test for second time and the officer was gentlemen enough to issue us the license. Then came the test for Driving license where in we had to drive the vehicle. voila...we were issued the license in the very first time we gave the test. So here I was getting my DL for Rs 110 (a book license). A recipt for the entire 110 Rs was given to me. And this was not so long ago. It was around 2004.
