Police has no shame to ask for bribe openly
1st feb 2014. I was returning back from my music classes. Stranger entered an auto and while getting down used some bad words and even beat me with his friend in the same area. NAme of those guys were ravi pawar and joseph frankie david who runs a small eatery on road. I complained this to police. Since I only knew the name of the person running eatery because ravi had called him to help beat me I approached police with the names. When police arrested them they started lying saying that nothing as such had happened and ravi told that I had misbehaved hence he tried beatin me. While both were taken into custody police without filing any complain from them asked me to stay with them inside. I knew this was wrong but the police there were too rude. Besides these guys started apologizing and asked me to take complain back stating they would help me in future if I met with some problem. I asked police to take complain back but now they refused doing so stating if I ever wanted to take the complain back why did I approach police. This was again shocking to me. Ravi and Joseph told them that they'd all give them a bribe and asked them to take complain back. However I never wanted to pay a penny for just taking complain back. Soon ravi and joseph paid Rs. 1200/- a police went with them to nearby laundrywala and acted as if laundrywala has taken money. However I expressed inability to pay anything saying I'm not rich enough to pay Rs. 600/- Somehow the matter was closed, but I still feel such moneysuckers don't deserve the title of police where in people are dying to grab a job to work as police. They should be hang till death, this will spread the lesson of not accepting bribe from anyone.
