Refused to bribe MG road Traffic Police
On 2/3/2011 [MahaShivarathri], my husband and me in the car violated a no-free left turn signal on Manipal centre road. Traffic police stopped us and asked for a easier option of bribing him Rs.100. When my husband asked for receipt, he said for that you have to go to High court to pay fine - Rs300. We firmly said in unison - "High court". That officer didn't have an authority to give a ticket and irritatingly noted our car/DL number and said ticket will be sent to home address.
