Refused to Pay to get the convovation certificate
I had not collected the convocation certficate when it was issued in college office since i was not in town during that time. Later on i forgot about it, however when i changed my job my new company asked for the photocpoy of the convocation certificate, hence i went to Mangalore University to collect the same. I filled in the application and paid the fine applicable for late collection, still the lady in charge was not aggreeing to issue the same. When asked for the reason she said she is buay and asked me to come on another day. This repeated for 3-4 weeks. After which another officer hinted at me that the lady wanted money. I told the lady openly that I would not pay a her a single ruppee, and i just switched on my mobile camera and asked her to give me the reason for her delay. I also mentioned of RTI to her. She paniced and immidiately pulled out my recodrs and did the necessary entries and informed that my carticicate would be sent through courier. I recieved the same after 15 Days.
Due to this delay my confirmation was pushed by 6 months. But I'm still happy that I did not pay bribe.
