Resisted demand of Rs.500 bribe for passport verification
I had applied for a passport in Mumbai for my wife & myself and during the verification at the police station, I was surprised that he blatantly asked me for a bribe of min Rs.500. I resisted and he told me that I will have to come again and ********** the senior police inspector incharge and took down my mobile no. This was just a ploy to frighten me. However, I replied that I am ready to ********** the Sr.PI, if need be and just left. My passport arrived a bit late but I recvd it withou a bribe. Had I pais a bribe, I would hv rcvd it in a weeks time.
